Howard, most of the site brings me to a login page now?

I think its policy change. They might require you to setup an account (free) to view content now.

I have a 2005 Volvo XC90 that has a "Alarm system needs servicing" message.
I have replaced the Alarm module under the passenger side fender with a factory new module, but the message still comes on. The dealer said that replacing the module should have solved the problem and nothing needs resetting, but it could be something else. The sun roof works and all fuses check good. What else can I check to solve this problem?

As a quick fix before I cleaned out my oil pan, I cleaned the passage in the oil pan, while/ when replacing the PCV trap by cutting up a bit of garage door cable putting it in my cordless drill and alternating directions shoved the 8 inches or so into the flame trap hole, actually took about 2 min of alternating and gently advancing the cable AND it actually did a great job of cleaning out the channel in the oil pan! So here's this weeks question are the remade throttles from xmodex worth it or should I just do the procedure by changing the contactless sensor? I ask because a new throttle OEM is now about 344.00 It's a 2001 and has the "issue." Thanks your still the best thing that ever happened to my Volvos !

Great site, really bailed me out. With your help and sources we saved our 01 XC70. Many projects I would not have even attempted! Any news about the site where you have many links to, doesn't seem to work anymore? Otherwise many, many thanks!

Hi, We are looking to purchasea second hand Volvo either V70 or XC70. From what we understand the 200-2003 models have automatic transmission problems. Unfortunately we did not know until now (when the transmission seems to be failing).
We are hoping you might know when VOLVO solved transmission issues- is it 2003 onwards or 2004?
Would we be safer to look at a XC70 2003/4?
Also is there any known typical iuues to watch out for with the XC70 T ?
Thanks, regards Scott

One of the most informative Volvo sites. I am grateful for people who take the time to pass this info on. I have dealt with Valentine Volvo here in Calgary and their level of service was excellent but the average Joe like myself likes to do as much as we can to save money and learn about these great cars.
